With Storyplay’r’s screen-free mode, your phone or tablet becomes a story box. Your child can listen to audio stories without being distracted by the screen. It’s just like having a dedicated storyteller, but with access to the full Storyplay’r catalog!
Here’s a tutorial on how to use Storyplay’r’s screen-free mode:
What is screen-free mode?
With screen-free mode, you can use Storyplay’r like a story box.
- The child can listen to audio stories without needing to touch the screen.
- The screen can remain off or inactive, which limits screen time.
- The story continues even if the child doesn’t touch the device.
In practice, you prepare the listening session by selecting stories and then activate screen-free mode. The device then functions as an audio storyteller.
What you need
- You need a Storyplay’r account, either as a family or library member.
- You will also need an internet connection to prepare the stories, but you can listen offline once they have been downloaded.
This mode is available on computers, tablets, and smartphones. For easier use of the screen-free mode, however, we recommend the free Storyplay’r app for iOS and Android.
